Typically, a plant’s efficiency is highly dependent on the maximum possible speed of the transport equipment. While many conventional RFID systems allow only static read and write operations, the new BL ident system from TURCK is capable of reading and writing at all times. Data can be exchanged even when the data carrier is in motion. With a read-write time of 0.5 ms per byte, BL ident is one of the fastest inductive RFID systems on the market. Even transport speeds of over 10 ms are achievable.
Turck Compact FEN20
The smallest Industrial Ethernet blocks offered on the market, TURCK’s new compact Ethernet multiprotocol I/O modules make standard switching signals quickly and effectively bus-capable. Thanks to their multiprotocol plug-and-play functionality, the FEN20 devices with digital inputs and outputs are immediately ready for use in PROFINET®, Modbus® TCP or EtherNet/IP™ systems. The device detects the protocol used by listening to the communication traffic during the startup phase.
FEN20 devices are available in two different designs. The small 4DIP-4DXP, which measures as just 55×62.5×30 mm, fits in small control boxes, control panels or other existing housings and can also be retrofitted to make push buttons and LED indicators quickly Ethernet ready. The large 16DXP variant, which measures 57x152x47 mm, is designed for the same type of application and provides up to 16 I/Os. As a DXP variant it can be operated both as an input or output. The module also provides the division of the I/O-signals into three independent potential groups which are isolated from each other – which can be used for safety shutdowns – and can be centrally controlled.
Steel Face Proximity Sensor
New 2-wire sensors offer an extended range
Stainless steel faced sensors are an ideal fit to be used as substitutes for traditional plastic faced sensors in applications where the sensors are routinely damaged by impact. Turck is pleased to announce the addition of a 2-wire, DC stainless steel faced sensors with an extended sensing range. The one piece housing is made from high grade stainless steel which resists corrosion and is rated IP67 against moisture ingress. The standard temperature rating for the line is -25 to +70°C.
The rugged construction and design of the stainless steel sensor line allows it to fit the needs of a wide variety of applications. PTFE or WeldGuard® coating is available upon request.
TX500 Programmable HMI
The HMI controls of the TX500 product series have high-quality displays with brilliant graphics, resistive touch, and a modern processor. They are ideal for use in small to medium-sized machines, whose processes must be controlled, operated, and observed locally. The CODESYS 3 control of the TX500 has the functions PROFINET controller, EtherNet/IP™ and Modbus TCP as well as Modbus RTU Master.
Turck is offering the TX500 series in three variants with different display sizes and resolutions: two 16:9 displays with 7” or 13” (TX507 and TX513) diagonals and one 10” device in 4:3 format (TX510). The two smaller displays offer 800 x 400 pixels, while the large TX513 comes with 1280 x 800 pixels.
Codesys3 allows the lean and simple programming of the PLC and visualization functions. The latest processor technology of the units guarantees the smooth handling of computing intensive processes right through to moving image visualizations. The high resolution TFT display with 64,000 colors enables the attractive and high performance display of graphics and animations. The front panel of the TX500 series is protected to IP66.
