Performance
A Quick Connect Coupling is usually the point
where the most restriction occurs in the flow path between the compressor and the air
tool. This means loss of efficiency at the air tool and higher energy demands on the
compressor resulting in increased cost.
It is therefore extremely important to choose a coupling which gives the best perfomance
and a low pressure drop.
Because of their unique valve design CEJN pneumatic couplings offer an almost unrestricted
flow and minimal pressure drop. To further assist in keeping the pressure drop to a
minimum the valve spring has been positioned outside the flow path. |
| Convenience
To reduce down-time and increase
productivity, ease of handling of
the coupling both during installation and operation is most important.

|
Push-to-Connect
Action
The automatic push-to-connect function, which is a
standard feature in all CEJN pneumatic couplings, makes a quick and easy connection.
Easy to Install
Both couplings and nipples are available in a wide range of connections and sizes which
makes installation easy and eliminates the need for adaptors.
Light Weight
In spite of the high flow capacity CEJN pneumatic couplings have very small external
dimensions. Less bulk means less weight and reduced operator fatigue. |
| Safety
Safety has become a most important
factor in modern industry.
In order to meet this need CEJN have put a high priority on the development of safety
couplings.

Safety Locking Device
To prevent accidental disconnection an automatic safety locking device has been
incorporated in coupling series 342/343 and 442/443.
When disconnecting a two-hand operation is required where the nipple and the locking
sleeve must be simultaneously activated.Anti
Hose Whip Nipples
For most of the pneumatic series anti hose whip nipples are available. These nipples have
a special valve allowing normal upstream air flow. When disconnecting the valve only
permits the down stream air to escape slowly, preventing the dangerous whip-action of the
hose. |
| Steam-Line-System
|

In addition to the range of female, male and hose barb
connections, CEJN has developed a direct hose connection which eliminates the use of hose
clamps and fittings.
The Stream-Line connection is based on and fits CEJN Polyurethane hose which is available
as straight, braided, non braided, as well as coiled.
